Business Chinese
Brief Introduction to Business Chinese:
1. This course is ideal for those who want to know well about the business environments and culture in contemporary China as well as Chinese language for business, including four levels: Beginner, Elementary, Intermediate and Upper-intermediate.
2. It uses case teaching method with cases of consumption, foreign trade, banking, insurance and real estate, etc. to reach a higher coverage of business themes and relevant business glossary; it also introduces the current economic and commercial hot topics of China so that learners can learn business Chinese as well know the latest economic situations.
Beginner Level:
1. 25 sessions in all.
2. You will learn and practice the initials, finals, tones in mandarin as well as the common oral expressions, such as "Xièxiè!”, "Qù Àoyùncūn zěnme zǒu?”, etc, covering the key words and grammars of Class A to have the basic ability to read, listen, speak and write.
3. On completion of this level, you can deal with the most common everyday life, and limited study and social communication. It is equal to HSK 1.
Elementary Level:
1. 40 sessions in all, ideal for businessmen who have no prior knowledge of Chinese or have basic Chinese knowledge.
2. You will learn the conventional greetings in business occasions, introductions, making phone call, reserving room, taking taxi, office conversation and other social communication topics, with listening and speaking in the first place and reading and writing in the second.
3. This level concentrates on the training of communication ability and integrated skills. On completion of this level, you can deal with the common business conversation skillfully.
Intermediate Level:
1. 10 lessons, 50 sessions in all.
2. It uses case teaching method. The first six lessons present the typical cases of six transnational companies, which have adjusted strategies according to market conditions of China and got development in China; the other four lessons are about the typical cases of four famous Chinese companies, which go out of China and enter the global market under the dual challenges of a large number of multinational companies entering the Chinese market and Chinese products export facing anti-dumping investigation. There are lots of language exercises and integrated application questions providing learners with more and better opportunity to practice and use language in the section of drilling.
3. Learners who have grasped the elementary Chinese can finish this level smoothly. You can master the commonly used business terms and expressions, know about China's socioeconomic life, engage in business-related work, take part in the general business activities, participate in general business discussion as well communicate skillfully on business occasions in Chinese.
Upper-intermediate Level:
1. 15 lessons, 40 sessions in all.
2. It concentrates on the infiltration of cultural factors; includes negotiation skills, business correspondence, etiquettes and culture in commercial activities, practical business speeches, news, advertising, corporate culture, etc.
3. On completion of this level, you can master the words, expressions commonly used in general or specific business occasions, know about China's socioeconomic life, engage in business-related work and business activities adequately, and be able to cope with the general business negotiations.
