Brief Introduction to Regular Chinese:
    1. Regular Chinese is committed to the comprehensive skills at Chinese learning and practice in listening, speaking, reading and writing with four levels: Beginner, Elementary, Intermediate and Upper-intermediate.
    2. It will help learners raise Chinese level step by step and lay solid foundation for deeply understanding and learning Chinese culture.

Beginner Level:
    1. 20 lessons and 25 sessions in all. One to two sessions for each lesson is recommended.
    2. You will learn and practice the intials, finals, tones in mandarin as well as the common oral expressions, such as “Xièxiè!”, "Qù Àoyùncūn zěnme zǒu?”, etc, covering the key words and grammars of Class A to achieve the basic ability to read, listen, speak and write in Chinese.
    3. On completion of this level, you can deal with the most common everyday life, and limited study and social communication. It is equal to HSK 1.

Elementary Level:
    1. 20 lessons and 40  sessions in all. Two sessions for each lesson is recommended. 
    2. The text for each lesson is based on practical dialogues as well as some narrative phrases.
    3. On completion of this level, you can grasp the common expressions for greeting, asking the way,  travel, as well as describing time and some grammars, such as comparative sentence and predicate sentence with subject-predicate sentence as the predicate.
    4. On completion of this level, you can recognize and read 1414 characters and about 2000 common phrases, master the basic grammars of elementary level and have the basic reading, listening, speaking, and writing ability to deal with the basic everyday life, study and social communication activities of specific range. What’s more, you can pass HSK 3—5 successfully.

Intermediate Level:
    1. 40 sessions in all.
    2. Text of each lesson concentrates on practical dialogues as well as some narrative phrases.
    3. You can learn about 700 new words and grammars for factitive sentences, passive sentences, and rhetorical questions as well as the common usage of prepositions and adverbs.
    4. On completion of Intermediate Level, you can recognize and read 2114 characters and about 4000 common phrases, master the basic grammars of elementary and intermediate level and have better reading, listening, speaking, and writing ability to deal with the general everyday life, study and social communication activities of specific range and rapidly raise your ability to express yourself in Chinese. What’s more, you can pass HSK 6—8 successfully.

Upper-intermediate Level:
    1. 50 sessions in all.
    2. It is suitable for those who have finished learning the basic grammar of modern Chinese and have mastered at least 2600 common Chinese characters or phrases.
    3. It concentrates especially on improving students’ comprehensive quality of Chinese. On completion of this level, your vocabulary will reach 4000 characters or phrases and can pass the high-level HSK examination easily.
    4. On completion of this level, you are able to master the initials, finals, tones, neutral tone, and cacuminalization, recognize and read 3000 characters and 7000 common words and expressions without difficulties. You can communicate with correct and diverse Chinese expressions according to different situations, get some knowledge about the "cultural background" and the semantic connotation of language so as to put it into practice and deal with well various social communication activities and general social work (such as tourism, sports and cultural activities, etc.).
