Chinese for Children
Brief Introduction to Chinese for Children:
1. It is suitable for 5-13 years old children, including two levels: Beginner Level and Elementary Level.
2. It selects the most familiar and interesting topics from the children’s everyday life, really attractive for children to help them learn the most common vocabulary and expressions in everyday life.
Beginner Level:
1. 40 sessions in all.
2. This level takes use of new education method: starts with static cartoon pictures to attract students’ interest, and practises in speaking and singing, at the same time, it trains students’ ability to listen, speak, read and write through the self-paced learning method of “singing and speaking- spelling and reading- listening, reading and recognizing words- reading and recognizing words together”.
3. Children can master the most basic Chinese expressions in the pleasant process of speaking and singing.
Elementary Level:
1. 60 sessions in all.
2. It introduces the basic sentence structures in simple way to help children master such sentence structures as “My name is…”, "Today is …”and so on. There are some other interesting topics from children’s everyday lives, like “rabbit”, “dog”, etc.
3. On completion of this level, children can master the most basic language materials to lay a foundation for systematical Chinese vocabulary and grammar learning in future.
